What are we doing with our lives and our planet?
Science fiction is known as the literature of anticipation as it speaks of scientific or technological achievements that could be achieved in the future. For example, the film WALL-E, which is about a robot designed to clean the garbage that covers the Earth after it was devastated and abandoned by humans in a 'distant future’, but it is still a distant future? The truth is that we will have made those possible consequences of our selfishness and unconsciousness in the closest future.
Now days, we all are wishing for technology to develop faster so robots can do our responsibilities, for our cellphones to have more and more functions that facilitate our daily activities. Machines already have …show more content…
Thanks to all this, we have suppression of personality, bereaving us from our capacity to think and decide, to act with consciousness. Unfortunately, since the situation has gone from bad to wretch, I do not think we will be eradicating pollution and other horrible situations that full fill our world, probably we would invade somewhere else to evade the problem like in the movie.
However, the movie is turning things were a robot has more conscious that we. Robots do not have feelings, not even artificial intelligence has made that possible. The development of technology has led to many new things, either negative of positive, although robots will not be saving the world if we humans, the only ones with the capacity to reason, do not do it.
Something that captured my attention too was the obesity that all humans had in the movie. Fast food is an actual problematic in many countries and that is why many organizations already have put hands on deck to fight the tendency to get fatter by the creation of the Healthy Eating Plate due to other solutions that in some years from now we will be decreasing the consummation of this unhealthy aliments, we will not have become all fat people with the appearance of a tomato with hands and
