While learning different concepts and theories regarding the the field of child development there Piaget’s cognitive - developmental theory and Vygotsky’s sociocultural theory are to theories that we can’t deny have a huge impact on the field of child development. With that being said we will get into both their similarities and differences in specific aspects such as whether development within humans is continuous or discrete etc. But first we will discuss the overall theories of each, we will start with Piaget’s. This cognitive - developmental theory we can see is exactly has it sounds. Cognitive being the process of knowing, which we can define even more specifically as our brains; Development referring to the rate or process at which an object (Human’s Brains) is advances and obtains knowledge. Piaget’s theory help describe and exclaim changes in thinking within children. We can see that there are four different stages based off of advancement and experience. It’s easy to see that according to page’s theory children learn through experiences. First we can see that they both believe that Children learn through active listening. As we can see through Both Piaget’s stage 1 and also Vygotsk’y belief that children learn through active listening and experiences through their environments. It’s also apparent that both Piaget and Vygotsky theories support the belief that people’s cognitive development after specific age decline. It’s clear through learning of both theories that Vygotsky and Piaget both believe that children this active listening and learning isn’t the only way that children are engaged, but also through conflicts they experience; When something doesn’t seem correct children will go out and seek for the
