Thunder crackles in the middle of the night as I try to fall asleep. I roll in hopes of finding comfort on the hard floor. No luck as usual. I then sit on the floor and stair at the darkness that fills this ship. A thought suddenly rushes to my head.
“Dad, dad, dad I have a an idea stop just open your eyes and listen.” I whisper.
“Can’t you see I'm sleeping?” dad responds.
“No one can sleep with all the coughing, crying and thunder. Just please listen.” I reply.
“Nadim, can’t you see that I’m tired, that we are all tired.” Dad grows in irritation.
“No, no, no this is a good one. Okay just sit up straight and pray for the biggest storm and have the waves push us away from the, the different mean people who are up on deck.” I say
