The voting age should not be lowered. 13-year-olds are too young to be voting because they know little things about voting and how serious it is. There is a reason why you have to be a current age in order to vote because they are much older and mature. Although some countries and states say that it is okay for younger people to vote here some reasons why they should not are young teens are too irresponsible to vote, young teens are too self-centered to vote, and they have no sense of history about voting. Young teens are too irresponsible to vote. Teens make stupid decisions like lying to their parents or stealing stuff from the store because they are still learning and still need guidance on life. The reason teens don’t understand about voting is because teens don’t understand enough history and importance about voting and teens don’t take the voting seriously like adults do. Kids that are very young don’t really care about voting, they mostly care about fishing, bowling, swimming and Ect. Teens only want to have fun and not care about adult stuff. These reasons should be why they shouldn’t lower the voting age.
