1 page long I think that the voting age should increase from 18 years to almost 20-21 years. In the beginning the voting age was 21 years but later on it decreased because of the Vietnam War in World War II. In the 1970 case Oregon v. Mitchell the Supreme Court ruled that Congress had the right to regulate the minimum age in federal elections; however, not at local and state level. At the age of 18 some teens get emotional sometimes; moreover, they make decisions very fast and don’t even think about it before making the decision of doing it. If the age when most the people are mature enough is 18 then why the drinking age is 21 may be because that is the age when most of the people get mature enough to handle themselves and make the right decisions about their lives is at least 21.
