I can see that, despite the recent uptick, voter turnout is at less than two out of three of electors. Also, parties aren’t making a significant effort to target the other third. And more female MPs have been elected to parliament.
I think that this number is too low. I think that because our elections aren’t as lively as other places, and are generally portrayed as boring and dull things to take part in. This is far from true, elections can be exciting, but also they can be important parts of being a citizen, and can have a significant effect on Canada.
