I am continuing my volunteer work at the Grace Resources Center to serve the homeless by helping with the Emergency Grocery Program and Hot Meals Program. Additionally, I am currently enrolled in a Certified Nurse Assistant training program at St. Joseph’s Nursing School. After completing the program in August, I plan to work full-time while continuing my volunteer work. In the program, some of the things I am learning are the foundations of resident care, personal care and rehabilitation and restorative care skills which will allow me to learn how to deliver patient care. Being a Certified Nurse Assistant would enable me to gain clinical skills, to learn how to deliver quality patient care and to practice holistic care principles.
