As we read over the interviews we wanted to apply solutions based off what we have learned throughout the year to help with job satisfaction. The main issue with job satisfaction was the fact that diversity caused conflict. What we found is that there needs to be a balance of work and life in order to avoid overwhelming people, being put in an environment where they are constantly surrounded by different people and different personalities. Although diversity is healthy, too much time in an unfamiliar situation can increase stress and reduce job satisfaction. Our proposal is to balance work and life in a way that would still allow for the company to succeed, but also, doing it while thinking of what would be best to keep the employees satisfied. …show more content…
Vivint can increase its feedback to its sales force by creating a customer satisfaction survey that technicians give to customers upon installation of smart home technology. Once this survey is completed, the results are given to the manager of the sales representative, and then given to the representative himself by the manager. This process would give the sales force an opportunity to gain intrinsic motivation, by hearing how their efforts have benefited the customers they have worked with, and how their efforts have helped Vivint as a whole. Rather than simply thinking of the money they are making by working, sales reps would care more for the benefits they are providing to customers. Since the sales force would be more concerned with making customers happy, they would receive better feedback. This would create a cycle that would increase their sense of accomplishment, and motivation to work hard. This solution is a clear win-win scenario, because the employees will gain satisfaction and effectiveness, and the company will gain happier customers and retain a larger amount of its sales
