The kind of person Vivien Thomas was was a brave, determined, and a smart man. Thomas was brave because in the story it said that he was raised in the year of the Great Depression, and that’s when almost all the banks were closed down, but Thomas never did give up on his dream. Since he was African American, a lot of school, jobs, and colleges would not take him, but he asked his friend and he said that there is a job in a school in the science room. Later on, Thomas work with his new friend and has his own Lab, but people made fun of him or got mad at him cause he was African American, but he didn’t really care. Thomas was giving directions on how to do the surgery on the blue baby.
