Vivian Parker Essay

Vivian Parker had it all, she was beautiful, smart, spoiled, yet sweet, and she was the funniest person you’d ever meet. She lived in the richest part of Upper East Side, New York, with her parents. Her house was made of stone and had the prettiest detailing. Her yard was always freshly cut with flowers at full bloom. Inside big and beautiful, as well and had too many bedrooms to count. She had a perfect view of New York outside her bedroom window. She had a maid, chef, and all the money in the world. Her parents expected nothing but perfection out of her. At age 18, Vivian’s parents had her life all planned out. She would spend the rest of her life eating high class meals, preferably steak (her favorite) and she would never have to face her fear of low class living, which seemed as though it would kill her. Her parents would also somehow get her into the top, most, prestige college in New York. Vivian was happy as long as her sidekick and best friend Kate, would go through it all with her. Vivian felt bad because her parents had done so much to get her into this school and she wasn’t even happy about it. She suddenly realized that she didn’t even want to go to college. Vivian confessed her thoughts to Kate, and surprisingly, Kate felt the same way. Neither one of the girls wanted to go to college, but they had to. When you come from the Upper East Side, it’s expected. With two minutes until their first class Vivian said, “I have a crazy idea.” “What is it,” asked Kate. “Maybe we should drop out of college, move to the City, and start a whole new life,” responded Vivian. “That’s crazy, we can’t do that,” Kate said. Kate was right, they couldn’t. But for some reason, one minute later, the two girls were sprinting off campus and getting into a cab. They were on their way to the heart of New York
