“It’s finally over.” Gerard thought.

A mark on Vittorio’s neck became visible, glowing bright enough to catch Gerard’s attention. He could feel the immense power surging through Vittorio’s body, while Gerard struggled to regain his composure. Vittorio remained on the ground, looking up at the night sky. Black markings started to appear all over Vittorio’s reddish skin with a sinister aura emitted from his body. Feeling the aura, Gerard couldn’t believe what was happening this time. Horns protruded from Vittorio’s forehead with his eyes becoming pitch black. Vittorio’s body grew a bit, becoming much more toned. Witnessing the sight of Vittorio, Gerard activated Zeta Corvus once again. The Faceless monk appeared once again, ready to fight.

Gerard didn’t reply, doing his best to stand up. All his life, he had never feared death and now he realized it was staring him in the face. He wasn’t fazed in the slightest, raising up his fist to fight. Seeing the fighting spirit Gerard possessed, was something Vittorio admired. Though Gerard was his opponent, he held a bit of respect for him. Mainly for helping him become a stronger warrior for Lord Kanohal. Rushing towards Gerard, Vittorio had no trouble knocking Gerard and the Faceless monk before letting them fall to the ground.

Gerard started to feel numbness, struggling to get up. Malessica and Kassius appeared in his mind before anyone else. Their safety was always something that he preserved. They fueled his will to fight. Gerard bared his teeth, looking straight at the ground. Vittorio stood over him, reaching his right hand to Gerard’s head.
