Most of the people in this part of Europe will be in the really exciting metropolitan areas. Oslo, the first capital of Scandinavia, is not too distant from the other capitals in Scandinavia. Stockholm, Copenhagen, and Helsinki are all capitals that have a lot to offer, and St. Petersburg, Russia will be on many of the cruise destinations that should be seen, although not part of Scandinavia. Most people in these countries who are under 65 years speak basic English, so language, especially in the cities should not be an issue.
There are so many cruise options in this area. Many people thoroughly enjoy the Alaskan cruises, and they are great. But if you like an Alaskan cruise I think you will flip out over a Norwegian
