Museum Of History Essay

For my gallery report assignment I decided to visit The Museum of Natural History. I chose to go to this museum because it was my first time visiting and I thought it would be interesting to visit this. My first thoughts about the museum was that it had a fascinating display of exhibits ranging from animals, dinosaur fossils, and modern science. When I entered the Hall of Ancient Life there was a life-size cast of dinosaurs all over the gallery, including a 40 foot long skeleton of an Acrocanthosaurus that I learned existed in North America during the early Cretaceous period. I even got to learn fun facts about some of the dinosaurs that I didn’t know before like the Triceratops it was one of the last surviving species of ornithischian dinosaurs that belonged to a family of herbivorous dinosaurs called the Ceratopsidae. There were also stories of skeletons in displays as you enter the museum that talked about dinosaur fossils. I gained knowledge on areas I didn’t know before and founded everything to be beneficial. The artwork discovered by the archaeologist were amazing it ranged from musical instruments, jewelry, and sculptures, they also used experimented with natural resources like bone, clay, shell, plants and stone. Most of the jewelry we have today are from rare objects like this or either preserved to keep a record. I learned that when an animal is killed that sometimes the native people would use the animals remains to make tools or ornaments and archaeologist can learn about the changes in landscape, as well as the different animals people hunted, fished, or raised over thousands of
