30 of the deaths were students and 5 were faculty members of the university. Twenty-three year
old Seung Hui Cho was heavily “armed with a 9-millimeter handgun, a 22-calliber handgun and

These acts began at 7 AM and ended just a little before 10 AM.
With the time in between the two shootings, Cho, went back to his dorm to retrieve a
package he had put together to send to NBC News. This package arrived in New York at NBC
News just two days after the shooting took place. Included in the package were details pertaining
to the shooting such as, a video he had put together of himself stating his feeling towards people
who he had encounters with in the past, photos of himself with the weapons he purchased just
two months prior to the killings, and some sort of document.
Seung Hoi Cho was a male from South Korea who moved to America with his family. He
was born on January 18th, 1984 and died on April 16th, 2007. Cho could be described as a quiet,
shy, and smart child. Once he entered high school, he could be described as having a bad temper,
not friendly, and detached from his peers. According to some of his college professors, “Cho
stood out as a near silent loner who wrote gruesome poems, stories and plays.” It is also stated
