Virgin Island Research Paper

If I had the opportunity to go anywhere in the world, it would be the Virgin Islands. The Virgin Islands and Texas are the exact opposite of one another. Texas unlike the Virgin Islands is filled with dead scorched lands. It is very rare one gets a chance to be able to see crystal clear water with all sorts of green exotic vegetation and wildlife. One condition is that if I were to go my family would also go. I have always told my parents that someday I will be able to repay them back for what all they have sacrificed for me. Therefore, the Virgin Islands would be the best gift I could give to them. My family means everything to me, and I wouldn’t miss a chance to spend time with them. As years pass by quality family time is getting slimmer. With jobs, college, and my parents slowly getting older it becomes more difficult to have adventures. The Virgin Islands would be the absolute perfect place for bonding time. The beach to me is the most astonishing place ever. I love swimming and hearing the peaceful waves brushing up on the shore. Getting to share and experience unforgettable moments with one another is something everyone wants to do. …show more content…
The Virgin Islands has an unimaginable amount of activities to be involved in and experience. The first on my list would probably go scuba diving. I personally am terrified of the ocean, but I don’t want to regret never doing it; so getting the chance to go scuba diving would be magnificent. I always see the reefs on tv shows and it looks elegant as if it was perfectly painted. Seeing the underworld of the Islands in person would be life changing. Being able to observe the different species and coral reefs would be an opportunity you wouldn’t want to

First and foremost, there are many things to do in and around Cancun. One of the most common “excursions” is when you go to Isle de Mujeres just off the coast and swim with dolphins.…

The camp you will be staying at is off the coast of Southern California and is on the North Western side of Catalina. It is 22 miles from Los Angeles which is where you board the ship that takes you to Catalina. When you are outside (or sometimes even when you are inside), the temperature is normally really warm and sometimes humid so I would suggest bringing and applying sunscreen in the morning and after every meal. Some of the native plants are eucalyptus trees, pine trees, moss, and cherry trees. The cherries that are on Catalina Island are different than what we are used to.…

Spreading along the east and gulf coast of the United States of America are unique geologic formations known as barrier islands. Not only are these landforms neat to visit, but also they have the important role of protecting the coastline by reducing the effects storm winds and waves can have. Barrier Islands, like Assateague Island, can form in different ways, but all are constantly undergoing changes from various factors. The focus of this paper will be how barrier islands form and move, these islands’ importance, and the vulnerability of Assateague Island. My grandparents grew up in Hawaii and they moved to America in 1938. I remember them telling me that they met in Hawaii and that Hawaii will always be their home. Whenever I go to Mimi (grandma) and Yaya’s (grandpa) house Mimi would show me pictures about the way she lived and Yaya loves telling me stories about how their people lived in Hawaii. Did you know the volcano was made in 1762 and didn’t erupt until 1874. Mimi told me that my father was born in Hawaii but he only lived there for 6 years.…
