Violet Baudelaire. A passionate inventor. A loving sister. A courageous fighter. A hard worker. An intelligent student. These are just a few ways one could describe Violet. She is a character from Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events. I can guarantee you that you’ll find yourself becoming extremely fond of this prodigy named Violet Baudelaire. Violet is a teenage girl, who has been through more in her sixteenth year than most people go through in a lifetime. She has long, straight dark hair and when she’s thinking, she puts it up in a ponytail using her special ribbon. She wears dresses due to the era. When Violet’s baby sister, Sunny, gets kidnapped, Violet puts herself in a dangerous, uncomfortable position. Just to insure Sunny is unharmed. Violet shows compassion when she tries to help Count Olaf, the sinister, cruel man who makes the siblings lives a mess, when he’s dying. Despite the unexplainable pain he caused the siblings. Violet kept her morals and didn’t become a cold-hearted person after everything she went through. Violet Baudelaire has had a positive influence on me by showing that even though life is hard, everyone should push through and never give up. Some of the things this young waif had gone through were implausible, but every one of them made Violet stronger. She refused to stop fighting and let her siblings get hurt. When times got tough did she stop fighting for her life? No. She also taught me to always put others before yourself. That if you love someone you’ll do whatever it takes to insure their safety. I think that’s a precious thing everyone should
