But what if it is not the game that causes aggressive behaviour? What if parents are forbidding something that is not at all the biggest problem instead of trying to understand why their child act aggressive and how they can chance that behaviour. Violence in games do not cause aggressive behaviour amongst children. In the first place, because there are no studies that can actually prove an causality between children playing games and children acting aggressive. In the second place, there are many factors that influence children and their behaviour. In the third place, the number of expulsions in the United Kingdom has decreased massively, while the total number of gamers has been increasing.

(Gentile) In addition to that, the article by Bushman, Brad J., and Craig A. Anderson, also showed how aggression is basically triggered by the aggression-related knowledge structures stored in memory. Video Games Do Not Cause Violent Behavior Over the years there have been several incidents that have stirred up the emotions of people, parents and especially investigators. These incidents include the Sandy Hook Elementary Shooting, the Columbine Massacre, and the incident in Colorado where a man went on a shooting spree in an Aurora movie theater. This led to the belief that if the parents’ children play violent video games that the child will become violent. Even though people have been led to believe that video games cause people to become cruel and commit violent actions, video games do not cause people to commit acts of violence because they don 't have time to…
