“Stay golden ponyboy.” That means that Ponyboy should stay good and not do bad things. I thought the book was okay because it wasn’t really detailed like the movie because the movie had more action about the rumble or when dally robs a store and gets shot or even when Johnny dies. The movie was really detailed. While the book and movie have many similarities and differences, the Movie was more effective in telling the story.…

The unjustifiable sufferings of migrant farm workers in the United States These days, even though we are fighting strongly for human rights issues such as human trafficking, racial equality, asylum seekers and refugees, child abuse and LGBTQ rights, we have to admit that not everyone is equal. We worked hard to ensure that the people around us have the rights they deserved, but we are ignorant to the suffering of others. In his book Fresh Fruit, Broken Bodies: Migrant Farmworkers in the United States, Seth Holmes explores the lives of the Mexican workers who cross the border illegally to come to the U.S and provides an interesting idea on how “the fault lines of class, race, citizenship, gender, and sexuality” have shaped the experience of…

“A group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common.” That is the definition of the word community. The Outsiders, a novel by S.E. Hinton, was based on a setting of a divided community consisting of the Socs, the rich Westside kids, and the Greasers, the poorer Eastside kids, usually deemed for trouble. The problem: they can’t put their differences aside, and realize they are both human. They just can’t crack the code on equality.…

In this movie, a gang of outcasts from the north side of town called the Greasers are always fighting against a rival group called the Socials, who are the rich jocks from the south side of town. The story follows two young Greasers, Johnny and Ponyboy, who aren’t like the others. These two see that fighting is pointless, but it’s just the way they live their life. The two boys get into a fight with some Socials and end up killing one.…
