In Arthur Miller’s play, The Crucible, and in the “Black Lives Matter Movement”, characters and people are performing violent acts to get people's attention to try and be regarded. Abigail is a girl, in Arthur Miller’s play, that was found dancing in the woods to attempt to get the people they liked to like them back. In the Article “Black Lives Matter”, it also shows another example of how people participating in the movement want to be heard, treated equally, acknowledging that everyone’s lives matter, and that we need to be supportive of each …show more content…
In “Empathy for Black Lives Matter”, by Glenn Beck, he states…. “We need to listen to one another and empathize for them. When we don’t acknowledge other people’s losses we don’t change how our society is reacting to the current controversial issue” (Beck). Humans, especially colored people, want to be heard right now. They want to explain that their lives matter just as much as the next guy does. Police are treating whites and colored people differently. They want to be heard to explain that their lives matter, like all lives matter. Nobody is listening to them so they are starting to resort to violence by hurting and even killing police officers. In The Crucible, she continues to accuse people of witchcraft because she was scared. People need to realize that if we as a society do not start listening to one another, people performing in the “Black Lives Matter Movement” will only get more violent. More people will continue to
