How many times has a person wondered what love controls and effects in life? However, when people look broader into the topic of love they find something that affects love more than we think, and that is conflict. The modern day society looks around and sees the connection of love and conflict everywhere they go. Although this is one of the most common aspects of our modern day life it was also very prominent in ancient times and even early modern ages. Even love and conflict seem like opposing forces they have properties that tie them together like the very fact they are opposing forces, love is a very disagreeable topic and many other people will have opinions and think different about love, also love blinds people and the people can get so wrapped up in love they don’t focus on things they should which all of these in turn all of these can easily lead and cause conflict.…

Mark Twain once said, “Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured.” Anger affects everyone differently, and some of us are more adept to deal with it. Others it turns into monster making them do irrational, off character actions with severe consequences. The dictionary definition of anger is to make or to become upset, but I think anger is a sense of rage that can interfere with rational thinking. Anger has the ability to stop our rational thinking.…

In the play Romeo and Juliet, violence between the families Montague and Capulet causes characters to make irrational and unreasonable decisions The violence causes death of the two main characters and the changing of their families, and ultimately love can heal violent conflicts. Therefore despite the few reasons why in Romeo and Juliet violence could be justified through the play, violence is not justified in Romeo and Juliet. There is no true reason why the families should be fighting, and Romeo and Juliet pay the price for the two families feud. Violence causes characters to make irrational and unreasonable decisions. The characters in the play are quick to use violence to solve a solution, without knowing that the violence is also making them lose control of their rationality.…

The Capulet parents incessant abuse towards Juliet ultimately led to Romeo and Juliet’s death. Child abuse is defined by the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act as “any act or failure to act on the part of a parent, which results in death, serious physical or emotional harm, or exploitation” (Definitions of Child Abuse and Neglect). All of which are demonstrated by Lord and Lady Capulet. According to a study done by the Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent medicine, “Several types of abuse, and not just bullying, are closely associated with suicidal thoughts in children and teens.” The study also found that “victimization appeared to be even more harmful if it was perpetrated by adults rather than peers” (Bullying, abuse linked to suicidal thoughts in kids).…

In Conclusion, I think that Romeo is a young, inexperienced and impatient but loyal and brave boy. I think that his naivety plays a huge rule in this because love was taken as an extravagant feeling to have when it was not truly happy as the lovers can experience heartbreak and many other obstacles. It seems as if Romeo only more cautious and deliberate, his devastating ending could have been prevented (even though we have not finished the book yet). Amongst friends especially Mercutio, Romeo shows signs of his social and quick witted persona, even with his fond of verbal jousting that is mainly about sex. Lastly, Romeo is like every other male in the world who only unveils their true self to the people who they trust or who understand them.…

Shakespeare shapes ideas about conflict through the ever present nature of the feud. All characters in Shakespeare's play “Romeo and Juliet” find themselves effected by the conflict, especially Romeo and Juliet. Act 1 Scene 5 is very much a scene about love as it is the scene where Romeo and Juliet meet for the first time and share their first kiss. However, Shakespeare reminds the audience of the feud and how it will impact Romeo and Juliet's love by adding moments of conflict into the scene. This conflict is evident in the line spoken by Tybalt to Capulet “This, by his voice, should be a Montague/ Fetch me my rapier, boy ....…

Hate can lead to many problems. Maya Angelou once said, “Hate, it has caused a lot of problems in the world, but has not solved one yet.” There are many kinds of hate, but, to put it simply, hatred is learned. Hate, in general, can lead to oppression, violence, and other kinds of conflict, and can be clearly seen within our society. Some of the many kinds or hatred are geared towards same-sex couples, certain religious people, as well as each other.…

Emotions are something that we feel each and every day. Our emotions for others change who we are, and our acts towards them. If we enjoy the presence of a person we feel happy, excited, and joyful; however, if we dislike the presence of a person we feel hatred, despair, and violence. A strong emotion that we all feel once in a while is hatred, especially hatred for another. Hatred for another makes people forget who they are and treat people differently.…

They want to “shed blood of Montague” (III.i.157) to get even for the death of their family member. The Prince rationalises that since “[Tybalt] slew Mercutio” (III.ii.91), Romeo didn’t simply kill Tybalt in cold blood. Thus, Romeo is exiled rather than executed. This makes the Capulets furious, so they decide to take matters into their own hands. Lady Capulet plans to send a servant to Mantua and “give [Romeo] a dram that he shall soon keep Tybalt company” (III.v.96).…

Yet their marriage cannot stand in the way of the feud any more than Prince Escalus’ threats of retribution can. The “rancor” between families is more powerful than the act of creation that is Juliet and Romeo’s love. Neither the attempt to create “pure love” between the families nor danger the of the “forfeit” of their lives can stop their fighting. Only a simultaneous action conveying creation and destruction, the two extremes of Romeo and Juliet’s love, can end the feud. Before drinking poison, Romeo when says, “Thus…
