Violence in Macbeth In the tragic play of Williams Shakespeare a Macbeth, violence was very present throughout the play, the violence was what grabbed my attention in the play, and because of that, my chosen theme is Violence.
The play begins in a desert place with the three witches discussing when they will first meet Macbeth and tell him. His prophecy. Soon after, they greet Macbeth and Ban quo and unexpected visit sues ruining eh they are. They hen tell both, Macbeth and Banquo of their prophecies.
“Lesser then Macbeth, and greater.
Not so happy, yet much happier.
Thou shalt get kings, though thou be none: so all hail, Macbeth and Banquo. “
Macbeth then tells his wife of the prophecy and she convinces him to make it true by killing King Duncan. Macbeth cannot bear the fact of killing Kind Duncan regardless of him being the Thane of Cawdor for his bravery and victories of his battles on the field. He enjoyed killing people, although the thought of killing King Duncan couldn’t seem to pass his mind. Lady Macbeth then calls him a coward for not wanted to murder Kind Duncan. He finally agreed and they make a plan. The plan is to kill Kind Duncan in his sleep after he comes back from his long day of journey. Lady Macbeth will …show more content…
Lady Macbeth at first didn’t feel guilt, but after hearing of Macbeth hiring murderers to kill Banquo his son, she does not want him to do it. The night the murderers plan to kill Banquo and Fleance, Macbeth decides to join them, becoming the third murderer. As Banquo and Fleance walk, they surprise attack them, killing Banquo but Fleance escapes.
Violence was more present, not only by Macbeth, but other characters as well. It shows that Macbeth achieves everything will violence despite feeling guilt for what he done. And it wasn’t a surprise when he is then murdered with such
