Violence In America Persuasive Essay

I do not support Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton. I believe the they both will cause damage to America and our government. This past shooting in Mount Greenwood has caused a rift in Chicago. The man killed was black, and the police officer who shot him was white; this skirmish has caused protests and riots throughout the nation. Would the protesting and riots be the same if the man shot was white and the police officer shooting was black? I am a Caucasian student at Marist High School posting anonymously, and here is my unbiased view on these past days of conflict. Recently, a group chat involving five female Marist seniors was released to public eye with the premise of discussing the recent shooting. Unfortunately, they spoke with an extreme amount of racism and bias toward the black community, and now fast-forward - they were all expelled from the school. My problem is they are petitioning to come back to Marist using a weak excuse that we all make stupid mistakes. Currently they’ve amassed over 4,000 signatures on their petition. I believe these girls should face the consequences and be banned from all devout Catholic schools in the nation. White students occasionally use the N-word and even the teachers frequently belittle the African American students of Marist. They often treat them unfairly and inhumanely, but actually they are the real inhumane animals. I can guarantee that if this issue had not gone public and viral, Marist High School would have definitely ignored it. They had an “assembly” on Tuesday concerning the issue, yet they were more concerned on keeping their image clean because somebody actually did something about it. Marist is selfish and doesn’t try to actively solve the
