Violence and mistrust is a huge issue that has not yet been dissolved between police members and the public. The main reason could be the fact that police departments haven’t done anything to influence their staff members prior to their actions. As they ignore the wishes and concerns of the public, they lose their authority and trust of the public. Injustice of the law enforcement towards the public and the use of force only causes more violence and mistrust between individuals which influences society only in a negative way.

They have also been thought that in any type of emergency the first thing they should do is to dial 911. But somehow today’s society is afraid of law enforcement and as they see the police, instead of feeling safe they fear getting in trouble. An example of this is when a person is driving and they see a police car on the road they automatically slow down even when they were doing nothing wrong. Your men are the saboteurs of our social order. They threw hot tea on my feet and my wife's feet. Logically speaking, you should criticize them, if not punish them.’" Mr. Chiu had no chance in fair treatment in a situation he was in but now we can make a difference.
