The graduated pipette, the acid, vinegar (ethanoic acid, CH3OOH) is used to measure the amount of vinegar that is going to be placed in the conical flask to be neutralised. This will be done for various concentrations of vinegar. On the graduated pipette is a thin red line that shows where the vinegar should be. To read this, the meniscus of the vinegar should have the bottom touching the line.
The burette is filled to the top of the scale to 0ml with the four samples of ethanoic acid. The graduated pipette is filled with Sodium Hydroxide with a pipette filling syringe. The 25ml wide-neck conical flask is then filled by the pipette with the alkaline of Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH). Drop by
