Vincent van Gogh (Vincent Willem van Gogh) known for many of his famous artworks, was a Dutch post-impressionist painter. Vincent van Gogh was born March 30, 1853, Netherlands. He was born exactly 1 year after his brother’s (Vincent), who was stillborn. With his name and birthdate carved onto his brother’s grave, van Gogh was already feeling sadness at a very young age. Growing up with a pastor, van Gogh thought he was bound to become gospel. Years later, he found his true nature in art. When he finally decided to become an artist, he had already suffered unhappy romances and had worked unsuccessfully as a clerk, an art salesman, and a preacher.
