Vik Muniz was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1961, but lives and works in New York City and Rio de Janeiro. He is a Brazilian contemporary artist and photographer. Muniz was previously a sculptor who became fascinated with photographing his works of art, eventually concentrating on photography. He is extremely creative in the ways he portrays his art because he uses different types of mediums such as wire, thread, chocolate, junk, garbage, chocolate, jewelry, magazine strips, and photography, etc. Some artworks he has created and photographed are in series named Pictures of Wire, Pictures of Thread, The Sugar Children, Pictures of Chocolate, Pictures of Junk, Pictures of Earthworks, Pictures of Clouds, Pictures of Magazines, Verso, and Pictures
