Did you know that Christmas Eve is more important than Christmas Day in Vietnamese culture? Vietnamese Christmas traditions are different than American Christmas traditions.

First, in Vietnamese Christmas, they say merry Christmas by saying Gia’ng sinh(Jing-sing.)Their Santa delivers small gifts and they exchange gifts like new clothes. Their santa is called ong gia’ noel.

Second, typical foods are rice, broth, pork buns, pudding and chicken. They are very happy when they get to eat the special food. Christmas eve is more important than Christmas day. On Christmas eve you go to midnight mass and after mass you go outside and eat street food have fun and celebrate.
