Vietnam War Veterans Service

In 1865 Lincoln one of the best presidents ever lived gave a speech during the civil war. He stood and said “To care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow and his orphan.” Until forever we will keep Lincoln's promise to our veterans and their families because the world cares too much about the people who fight in the war. We care for veterans when they get hurt. We give them a leg, an arm, anything for them. While his wife and children are home worrying about him they still pull through with it and trust the nurses that are there. He helps his whole country and yet people still watch these commercials and don’t do anything about it. Everyone who is to “borne” the battle needs to be cared for. Even his widow and orphan at home. The veteran's service is an amazing program and every veteran who enters will be there until they die or are old enough to retire. Back in the Vietnam war some veterans were not thanked because they didn’t win the war. When people go up to a veteran and say thank you for your service they try holding back the tears because people didn’t appreciate them when they lost. Although the people also didn’t seem to care that they tried there hardest and lost about 530,000 men. This is why we need to keep lincoln's promise. Everywhere around the world there is a battle happening. I appreciate those who have as lincoln said “borne the battle” and try as much as I can to care for him. Anyone out there can help. Please care for a veteran, say thank you, give them a smile, invite their family over for dinner do something. My definition of a veteran is, caring for someone else and putting their life before yours. That is truly anything that anyone could ever ask for.
