The teachers would have the person who doesn't have their homework in class come up to the front, and they would have around 10 whips on their hands or their butt. That also includes not answering the questions correctly, sometimes when I got the whips, it hurts so much that it was hard for me even to hold the pencil. “When I was a kid, we watched the Vietnam War on the six o 'clock news, and it was desensitizing. You felt you were watching a war film; meanwhile you were really watching these guys getting blown to bits,” said Johnny Depp about the Vietnam War. History has a funny way of repeating itself, and people have the funny habit of staying stuck in the past. Many people believe the Vietnam War and the current War on Terrorism is a reflection of this. Some people believe that both of the wars are pointless and that we are wasting American lives for things that do not even involve us, but others think both wars are absolutely necessary and that it is our duty as Americans to take action in order to preserve our freedom.…

I am thankful that I go to school in America because in many countries like China, are very demanding compared to American schools for many reasons. The hours are longer compared to American schools. Chinese students go to school from 7:30-5:30 if they finish all the tasks and work they have done, and it doesn't even include homework. In my opinion, China values school more for many reasons, but the main reason is that there aren't public high schools in China, so only certain students can get in if they can afford it. If they can afford it, the student still has to pass a test to get into high school.…

The Vietnam War was an extreme waste of time and energy in the minds of the American people. They protested the war constantly which lead to tensions against the government. Many events occurred that would tear the country apart due to their differing opinions on the Vietnam War and this is largely because it changed the American economy for the worse, destroyed American family lives, and finally presidents made promises in political elections and did not follow through with them. To this day, there is still a lot of controversy over the United States’ involvement in the war overseas in a communist dominated country.
