The Vietnam Veterans Memorial on the National Mall is dedicated to honoring those who fought in the Vietnam War and were killed or missing in action. The memorial has three separate parts: The Three Soldiers statue, The Vietnam Women’s Memorial, and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, which is the most popular. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial chronologically lists the names of more than 58,000 who gave their lives to serve their country.
It is free to visit and open twenty-four hours a day to the community. Rangers are there from 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily to answer any questions that people might have. Construction of the Vietnam Veteran Memorial started on March 26, 1982, and it made it’s phenomenal opening on November 13, 1982. It is located
