The reason being is the methods in which researchers used. The experiment was similar to the first but included extra steps that were detrimental in providing logic and effective research. In the first study, students were taking from different towns, schools and classrooms. They were given the same experiment and the conclusion was that violent video games did play a part in aggression and violent behavior. The evidence was found using students monitoring and critiquing students’ behavior during recess. In my opinion, this method did not seem to be reliable. Parents, educators, lawmakers, etc. are all concerned with how much influence video games really have on aggression and violent behavior. As written in the article “Violence, crime, and violent video games: is there a Correlation?” game platforms are becoming increasingly diverse and easily accessible. With the rise in technology, video gamers are able to connect to a video game through computers, consoles, tablets, mobile phones, etc (Fournis, G., & Abou, N. N. 2014). After reading a few articles, it is obvious that there are many different views on the effects violent video games have on video gamers. This controversy is significant today because we still have no clarity on whether or not the video games cause and/or increase aggression and violent behavior from video gamers. I think that it is imperative that we find answers to this controversy because it could possibly be the answer to eliminating or at least decreasing the crime rate worldwide. This controversy is significant today because there are so many conflicting ideas, experiments and research on the issue. Because more and more individuals are joining the gaming world, especially the violent video game world, we have to be more aware of how these games directly affect individuals. There are too many people unconsciously connected to a world we have no idea about. If we can find a clear solution, we can begin to see change as a
