Parents need to understand that children learn their violent behavior from their parents. Children look up to their parents as role models and follow within their footsteps. Living in a household that always has constant arguing or fighting takes a toll on children as they begin to do the same. Throughout my household there is constant arguing between my mom and stepdad. My younger sister perceives that to be normal, and then yell at my mom when she is incensed instead of being able to communicate. In addition, this shows that children do not only learn physical violence, but indeed learn verbal violence from parents.
In conclusion, video games are not the reason children learn violent behavior. Children learn violent behavior from their parents who set a bad example being abusive, thus giving children the perception that the only way to deal with their anger and frustration is by physical, verbal or emotional
