Video games can teach us many things, since many games today are multi-player online they can help your social skills. They can help you think new ways to solve problems for example say you are stuck in a certain level in the game it will have you thinking different way to beat, and playing video games could even make you a living, some Youtubers don’t have jobs but they make their living by playing video games same with game testers, pro gaming teams or MLG teams, and even the people who make the games. For example games like “Dance Central” and “Kinect Sports” help kids get more fit. And other games are said to boost kids creativity and improving focus. And even more games can improve strategic thinking, coordination, and balance, so next time you think videogames are bad remember these! Video games can help with planning, resource management and logistics such as if you play tycoons (Making your own park, castle, ect). They can improve how fast you think or solve problems. They can also help with math and reading skills because of dialogue and instructions and when you have items you have to decide when to use them. Furthermore video games improve memory, and pattern recognition. A survey done by THQ shows that ¾ of parents in Australia believe that videogames have a positive effect on children and even bring the family together more. In another survey it was found that in 97% of Australian households own one or more video game console (not including computers of course) and that of the 11 hours of kids activities each week only one of those hours were of them playing video
