When you view a work of art you go in depth of the artwork especially into the time it was created. The same is with video games. You can determine the time period in which the game was created according to the graphics. If the graphics look pixelated then the game was most likely created between 1981-1991. If the graphics are 3D and more realistic than the video games are from the past decade or so. When times are rough in the real world people tend to turn to something to console them or something that pulls them away from the harsh problems. This something is usually a piece of art whether they realize it’s art or not. Some may go and find their favorite book, poetry, or other piece of literature to read. Others may take a look at a calming painting or paint one themselves. Another way people escape is watching a film or TV show to give them a different taste in life. There are always some people that play video games to free themselves. Video games give people a sense of comfort, freedom, or relaxation and helps them either coup or avoid the problems (depending on the person and video game) just like any other form of art. Depending on when the video game was made which directly relates with the quality and type of graphics, different people tend to play different video games for different reasons and feel different feelings. In conclusion video games can be a work of art. Video games share the same criteria asmaking art. They both include the same creativity, devotion, and hard work. Video games has resulted from the advancement of technology which results in new forms of art, better graphics, and more freedom from this world. Video games can take you into a whole new world and do anything else any other piece of art
