Violent-shooting video games are among the most popular video games. Since the technology advancements of these games have increased they have increased in popularity. Research from the General Aggression Model (GAM) has identified that these violent video games have increased the level of aggression in players. In one experiment conducted people were randomly assigned to one of four conditions. These were a neutral video game which as off-line, a neutral video game which as online, a violent video game off-line and a violent video game online. The Entertainment media has always made a great scapegoat: In the 1950s, lots of people blamed comic books for kids' bad behavior. .
