Civilization has always had some kind of desire and fascination concerning the improvement of themselves and their way of life. You can call it many things, I call it “Humanities Never Ending Progress or Development in Technology”. Some of this developments have been created and used to help mankind in many ways, while others are just for pure entertainment. Telephones, radios, electricity, flight systems, medicines, and many more, form part of the greatest advances of all time. Still, humanities biggest and greatest creation has been the computer. Thanks to computers, many people have had the opportunity to learn how to work with them in diverse ways, by either building computers, creating programs or even making video games for computers. …show more content…
Video Game Designing refers to planning, designing, and creating video games. Furthermore, it is considered the development process of designing the content and rules of a video game and the designing of gameplay, environment, storyline, and characters in a game, according to “How Becoming a Video Game Designer Works”. Always have in mind that the making of a video game can’t be accomplished by working alone. That is why video game designers will often work closely with other essential members of the designing team. The designer of a game, for example, is like the director of a film. He is the visionary of the game and is in charge of the artistic and technical aspects of the game according to his vision. This way, the other members can create video games for computers and video game consoles. We can’t also forget that Video Game Designing requires artistic and technical abilities, writing skills and a lot of hard …show more content…
With the information acquired in “Atlantic University College”, it usually takes four to five years to complete this degree to become a designer. Is not hard but it takes time. Any student can earn this degree in computer graphics, art, animation or a related field. As mentioned earlier, it is helpful to possess artistic ability and talent. On the other hand, people lacking abilities in those areas, yet have good technical and computer skills, may possibly still have a chance. Those abilities are usually preferred by some employers. Any student needs to have at least some experience in Game Designing. Some skills and studies that video game designers may need include: Computer programming and knowledge of programming languages, Coding, Problem solving and critical thinking, Knowledge of audio and video equipment, Written and verbal
