Thesis Paper According to Brad Bushman video games have become more violent since the 1970’s. Studies have shown that children are starting to act more aggressive. Children have also committed more acts of violence. The game “Death Race” has encouraged any one who is playing it to run over the “gremlins” that actually look like humans. Even the arcade video game “Pac-Man” has faced criticism for the excessive amount of cartoon violence that is in that game. In the 1990’s violence in video games have become more commonplace. This has concluded Brad Busman’s point saying that video games have become more violent since the 1970’s. There has been an increase emphasis on killing the player’s opponents in many gruesome ways. The violence in these games has become so much of an issue that the show “60 Minutes” aired a special on the controversy surrounding the game “Death Race”. Even the critics have criticized the amount of blood and gore in these games. Theses video games have been more disturbing with the violence in the realistic characters. This has concluded Lawrence Kutner’s point of as the video games have become more realistic, the violence in these video games have become more of a concern for the parent’s of the kids who play these violent video
