She even states that she doesn’t think it’s anyone’s responsibility but unless someone else steps up to the plate she feels she can’t really relax. Perhaps if anyone else helped she would feel supported and not think the weight solely rested on one person. The reason I say trapped is because if I felt a position must be filled, and no one else does it, then because you believe this position must exist you could feel cornered. I personally would feel trapped if this was happening to me and I felt how she did state. The helper did a good job of paying attention to her and I thought it was interesting how she was smiling and laughing as she mentions how she is actually very upset at her brother for leaving her to take of things. I think it’s interesting because this is something people tend to do to minimize their negative emotions. Even with her laughing and smiling he uses the word resentment to reflect how she is feeling and she agrees that word is correct. On a personal level I feel that I probably just keep repeating similar things because I already pay a lot of attention to people when they are speaking. If anything though throughout this course I am just trying to be extra aware of when my opinion of the situation is coloring
