According to the video, authoritarianism is a term that values order and authority, and distrusts outsiders and social change. In my opinion, authoritarian want to keep the authority by their own and they don't want to share it. China had a long period of authoritarianism, China was governed by imperial authority and shut down communication with foreign countries. I am not saying that American authoritarians are like Chinese, but I think they have something in common. They are afraid of changing, because a lot of foreigners come to America and they may take jobs and resources from America authoritarians.
