Victor's Reason For The Conflict In Frankenstein

Frankenstein, a book by Mary Shelley, tells the story of a scientist in pursuit of the secret of life.. The scientist, Victor Frankenstein, wished to create a creature that resembled himself, almost like a son.. He and the creature have more in common than they think. Victor wanted the monster to do thing on his own and become smart and capable of things. For that reason Victor gave him the capabilities to understand and learn more quickly . The reason for the conflict in the story comes from victor abandoning his creature. After the monster leaves after getting abandoned he learned how to read and how people interact. If someone from the town saw the monster they would try and get rid of him. After the monster got abandoned it had no way of getting food to eat. Victor's creation had to steal from a nearby house to survive and he felt so guilty for what he did the feeling of guilt were killing him. This family rejects him but later becomes friends with the creature and they give him material to help him learn to live on his own. The creature feels lonely because people view him as a hideous monster who no one want around because they fear of him. The creature has no one to interact with because Victor only made one of him. Victor has a family but still seems lonely because his family and school mates see him as a outcast. Victor has no really close friends, Victor acts socially awkward and he would rather create the monster and continue to put time and effort into his scientific efforts discovering more about human life. The creature has more trouble with his loneliness because he has no one to interact with and all alone with only his thoughts and limited knowledge about his surroundings.
