A Victoria Secret ad claims that slim women have the "perfect body". In response to this, a company called Dear, Kate, made its own ad to show that the "perfect body" is the one you are born with. The ad can harm viewers by displaying an unrealistic body image that isn't naturally formed, but structured till its thought to be "perfected" in refrence to those images /type of ads displayed around. As seen in the public ads like these including Victoria Secret ad all they do is create negative thoughts to almost any young viewer that gets exposed to these types of images. There’s been cases where teens have died from wanting to reach the goal of the "perfect body". These actions sometimes have been taken too far in various situations, like causing health effects. One very common case is Anorexia Nervosa, "What is it?". It's an eating disorder in which the individual tries to lose weight or for what its called "get rid of the fat or "imperfections", causing themselves to starve or vomit the little they eat. How can you say these things if the images you're displaying on your ads are just a certain type of body calling it “the perfect body”? All slim women, just one type of body excluding all other gorgeous bodies found all around. Victoria Secret is always promoting their products by saying positive quotes with certain bodies on all those covers, leaving nothing but the viewer’s thoughts to think that they're bodies should look like the ones on the ads to feel good. Leading to believe that one would be and feel happy that way, which takes back viewers to have a negative thought towards their own body, under their own skin. Which isn't right because it gives viewers an understanding in how they need to
