Many people cannot communicate through words but is able to show how to communicate through music. As a beginner bass player I was completely amaze on how he can do much as a bass guitar. He allowed me to see that bass is not just a background instrument but it can be harmonically and beautiful. “In some instances music is better than spoken words because it doesn’t need to be understood.”(Victor Wooten, Famousquotes.com) This quote really stood out to me personally because it gave me some sense of expression. At the time I was learning to play bass and discovering this amazing artist I was at a predicament because I didn’t know how to achieve a level higher on my playing. “You must go above the notes and rhythms to be a real musician.”(Brenda Smith, My Band director) I was trying to achieve a better level in my sounds to be great and everything that victor Wooten was teaching stood out to me and really made me think and change my way of playing. He is my biggest aspiration and I wish to reach his level of playing and
