Victor Alvarez Letters

It is my great honor to write this letter for Victor Alvarez. I have taught Victor for three years and it is my opinion that he has the qualities you are looking for when it comes to your school or this scholarship. I base this recommendation on three strengths of Victors. The first strength identified is his work ethic. The second strength is his personality. The third strength is Victors ability to be unselfish and help others. I have seen first-hand Victors ability to work as a mentor in my Game Plan class. He is committed to punctuality for his classmates. Victor communicates well with both teachers, peers, and his mentees in a way that shows leadership and his ability to work within a team setting (Sports / Classwork), and he will work hard to push his peers to accomplish a goal. Victor continues to lead a very impressive Soccer program while still maintaining good grades and helping others. Without his work. ethic he would not be able to do all the things he does as well as he does. Victors personality is a very positive, hardworking, and it makes him very likable. Victor does not complain when he is pushed to his limits, when he is tired, or when he is asked to do leadership tasks that others refuse to do. Victor has a get it done …show more content…
I would also like to talk about his unselfishness when it comes to helping others. Victor has great ability to fit in, be a part of any group, and basically get lead peers, teacher, and mentees regardless of the situation. It is Victors ability to unselfishly lead these groups that allows me to write this letter for him. When Victor works with a group he leads the group in a way that is nonabrasive. He feels for individual needs and he has the ability to understand people’s feelings. Victor can work through egos, work through negative attitudes, and can model the right way to act and live with the social tools he

To: Richard Ramirez and Juan Carlos Gutierrez For the last 6 months, we have been complaining to you to complete the job. We also met with you to go over the details of the work that has not been completed with any success, but we always ended up arguing. I don't want to go through it again because it is such a mental distress to me when I only see you avoiding your responsibility, not admitting your faults, and not recognizing how much money I'm losing daily.…

It is a great pleasure to recommend Rachel Sitasz for admission to the Edward Hospital Student Volunteer Program. She is one of the most empathetic, kind, and exceptional humans I have encountered in my 14 years of teaching. I teach Rachel in my 8th grade advanced ELA class. Her academics, character, innate curiosity, intrinsic motivation, ethical standards, and unwavering desire to give back, have put Rachel in a class of her own. In fact, for the first time in over 25+ years, the eighth-grade team created a brand new end-of-the-year award for our graduation awards assembly.…

My first memory at North Carolina Governor’s School West is of crying next to my parents on a bench under a giant tree. It was move-in day for the five-and-a-half-week session, and I was already sure that they would be the worst weeks of my life. I was terrified; I knew no one except two students from my high school, who were rising juniors and to whom I had never spoken before. After that stressful first day, I fell asleep unsure of how I could make it on my own in a place filled with such talented, intelligent, and unfamiliar people. A week later, I knew that Governor’s School would be one of the most treasured experiences of my entire life.…

The Western Frankenstein By Sarah Cooper “…How delineate the wretch whom with such infinite pains and care I had endeavoured to form?” Differences in ethnicities, religions, races and creeds have caused wars between and within communities for centuries. Ever since the very beginning of religion itself, disagreements have broken out between separate sects and schisms of any given faith. A perfect example of such discrepancies can be found in the ongoing conflict between Sunni and Shiite Muslims.…

Cognition, as defined in our notes, is the “mental processes related to acquisition, storage, and retrieval” (Frank P. Gengaro, Ph.D., MSW, M.A., LCSW, SI, TM, TM, TL, TMC, TTP). This basically means that cognition has a huge part in acquiring information and storing the information in an efficient way so that we can access it whenever we need to. The main way that we study human cognition is through the humanistic perspective. The humanistic perspective suggests that we are social creatures who interact with other social creatures for the sole purpose of survival. We use cognition in an adaptive, as well as, maladaptive way to survive.…

Victor Frankenstein is quite an interesting character. At first he was considered as a Hero because of his idea of bringing back dead to life which was driven out of hunger for more knowledge (30) and as well as his mother’s death (25). In my opinion I can’t really conclude that Victor is an anti-hero or possess a villainous qualities, because he does not really lack the sense of nobility of a mind and spirit, he also loves his family and friends dearly and didn’t intend to hurt anyone. He is also a sympathetic person, pages 59 and 63 of the book talks about how Victor is wrecked inside for he thinks it is all his fault that innocent people (Justine) will face death and died. His creation was not intended to be a monster, though he tried…

Moreover, as he denies his domestic and social roles he fails to consider how his creation would fit in society and interact with people. In this case according to Randel, Victor’s “workshop's semantic role is to signify a momentous absence, rather than to signal an accomplished presence.” (531). Because of Victor’s isolated work environment and his neglecting behaviour towards his domestic responsibilities his experiment does not meet up to the standards he was wishing to…

We think story-telling played a role in character development for Victor. In the short story, more light is shown on Victor and Thomas’s relationship when they were younger through flashbacks. With these flashbacks we understand why the characters are the way they are now in the present. We see less anger and hostility from Victor as his older self towards Thomas in the short story. We can also infer that maybe this is a growing respect for Thomas from Victor, due to Thomas’s way of being able to remain positive despite his struggles.…

Throughout the novel, Victor proves to be mature from being unable to accept his fault for his actions to later realizing the damage he has cause and eventually attempting to fix them. In the beginning of the novel, Victor is not willing to take responsibility for his actions which makes him immature. The first time Victor proves to be immature is when he does not consider the possible consequences that could happen for giving life to a creature before he begins to create his creature. Since Victor is horrified by this creature he decides to abandon him by leaving him alone in his apartment.…

But as the novel progresses, Victors power is stripped, his life slowly crumbles, and his power is what kills him in the end. “As I sat, a train of reflection occurred to me which led me to consider the effects of what I was now doing. Three years before, I was engaged in the same maner and had created a fiend whose unparalleled barbarity had desolated my heart and filled it forever with the bitterest remorse.” (Shelly 155).…
