INTRODUCTION:
This case involved the recovery of the victim’s vehicle which was located along the south curb line in front of 156 W. Claremont Street.
LOCATION DESCRIPTION:
This recovery occurred in a residential neighborhood along the south curb line in front of 156 W. Claremont Street.
LOSS:
S/D/R Description Serial#
S-1 White 4DR 2016 BMW 328D CA. Lic. #7TSL471
INVESTIGATION:
On 12-16-16 at approximately 1204 hours, Officer Petrella #7035 and I were dispatched to 156 W. Claremont Street regarding a stolen vehicle. Dispatch advised that a BMW dealer located the vehicle via the GPS and tracked it to the above location.

Claremont Street. The vehicle had a rear Rusnak paper plate attached to it. We conducted a records check on the vehicle’s VIN and confirmed that it was stolen. Officer Petrella contacted Beverly Hills PD who requested the vehicle be held for latent prints. The vehicle was locked and we were unable to gain access into the interior.
Officer Petrella spoke with Linda Chavez who resides at 163 W. Claremont Street (CDL# N4286078, DOB 07-05-43, 626-372-5174). Chavez told Officer Petrella the following information:
On 12-15-16 at approximately 1230 hours, Linda saw a male Hispanic park the stolen BMW along the south curb line in front of 156 W. Claremont Street. Linda saw the male exit the driver door and walked toward the apartment complex at 152-156 W. Claremont Street and out of sight. Linda did not see which apartment number the suspect entered. Linda described the male as approximately 30 years of age and 5’05” in height, NFD. Linda did not see the male’s face and would not be able to recognize him if seen again.
We checked the area and did not locate any other additional witnesses or video surveillance cameras. The vehicle was towed by Freddie Mac’s located at 2740 N. Bruin Avenue, South El Monte (626-443-4141). The vehicle was held for evidence. The vehicle was later entered into NCIC as recovered (see attached
