Rapists could say that it was because of the way he/she was dancing with the, and that they couldn't help themselves. Then, women are told not to dance a certain way with men, not to sit on their laps, not to make-out with them if they're not ready for what may ensue. This doesn't help us, chastising women and telling them to hide their sexuality doesn't help them as much as it helps their rapists. How about we chastise the rapists and tell them that they shouldn't act on a young person that cannot physically fight them off because they're much smaller. How about we tell rapists that it isn't consent if they mentally incapacitated, they've said no, or they've attempted to fight them off.
Does a lack of vitriol on the abuser serve as an acceptation for their vile crime? American culture sets decades of reforms alight, they progress to simultaneously regress. It is a great and tragic irony, and though this matter is not foreign to other nations, a nation as great as America shouldn't subordinate themselves to fit into the rapist's
