The mission statement of the Cobb County VWU states that the unit’s mission “is to liaison and educate our community in achieving a society of non-violence” (Prosecutorial Victim Advocacy Unit n.d.). Additionally, the VWU states that their service “principles and mission objectives are designed to empower individuals who have been directly and/or indirectly impacted by crime” (Prosecutorial Victim Advocacy Unit n.d.).
