Vice President-Standards — An Overview
The Vice President-Standards and her committee are responsible for the maintenance of Fraternity standards and policies. This includes educating the chapter about the role of the Standards Committee as well as addressing violations of Fraternity Bylaws, Standing Rules and Policies for the best interest of the individual and the chapter. She and her committee promote unity and sisterhood and serve as role models for the chapter. They represent the values of the chapter and the Fraternity to the campus and community.

Role of the Vice President-Standards:
➢ Serve as the chairman of the Standards Committee.
➢ Preside at chapter meetings and Chapter Council meetings in the absence of the President.

• Post the guide in a visible area of the chapter house and/or distribute it to every member of the chapter electronically.
• Use it as a resource to assist women after an incident of gender-based violence.
• Refer to the Gender-Based Violence Resources and Reporting document on the Kappa website under More Resources for additional information on helping a member after an incident of gender-based violence.

➢ Communicate with Standards Adviser and Fraternity Leadership.
• Communicate with the Standards Adviser weekly or more as needed.
• Provide minutes from weekly meetings and probation forms to the Standards Adviser and Fraternity Headquarters at standardsreports@kkg.org.
• Utilize the District Standards Specialist and Standards Director as resources on chapter standards issues.
• Immediately refer all calls from parents, alumnae or others to the Standards Adviser and District Standards Specialist. Responsibilities of the Standards Committee:
