Within this therapy group each person is first their own self, then a member of the group. The broad, holistic aspect of MOHO which views people as being able to reorganize and restore order to their personal life greatly depicts the moral and purpose of this group. In addition to fitting the function of the group, MOHO would work well with people living with PTSD because it focuses on restoring both the internal and external environments of the person. For example, this frame of reference (FOR) allows for the teaching of utilizing skills learned during group session in varying context to recognize external triggers, then effectively exercising these coping techniques to deal with the internal distressed. What was thought to be a physical and mental issue and is now known as a psychological condition. Although society today has come much farther than when in World War One or Two, it was a slow road getting to how society views it now.
