As a rising freshman for the Virginia Polytechnic and State University, I plan to major in Animal and Poultry Sciences with emphasis on companion and livestock animals. Although it may take a long and hard journey to get to my goal of being a veterinarian, I believe my aspirations are never too far out of reach because of my drive to achieve excellence. For my first three years of college, my primary plan is to build a competitive resume to apply to the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine.To build a competitive resume I strive to merit more than a 3.5 gpa as well as have over 350 hours of shadowing local veterinarians and volunteering on the poultry and livestock farms on campus.
