Veteran's Day means a lot to me not just because we have BBQ’s and no school, but for those who served our country to provide peace. Some people celebrate Veteran's Day by making items and others may serve the community by picking up trash. Veteran's Day was made in 1938 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower so we have a whole day just to honor the veterans. People do different things to celebrate Veteran's Day. Some people make special items to send overseas, others like writing letters to them. How my family celebrates is to have BBQ with my family, but especially my grandpa because he is a veteran from the Vietnam war.
